We are thrilled to announce our FREE! Tennessee State Wide Virtual Pre-ETS Summer STEAM Bootcamp! "Your Voice Is Power Summer 2025" offers Music Technology, Coding, STEM and Cybersecurity, with CHIPS' new Cisco Networking Academy Courses! Learn STEAM and CTE skills to pay the bills and earn job skill credentials with certificates for your resume and job opportunities.
This opportunity is provided FREE in cooperation with CHIPS and the Tennessee Department of Human Services (DHS), Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program. This program is through the Workforce Innovation Opportunities Act (WIOA). Students ages 14 to 21 that have an IEP, 504 or medical condition are eligible for the program. Each student needs a signed parental permission form.

CHIPS Learning Institute of STEAM, Career and Technical Education (CTE) is thrilled to announce that applications are now open for our future-ready summer camp Your Voice Is Power 2025:—a free, virtual STEAM and Career & Technical Education (CTE) boot camp that empowers your voice with technology and self-advocacy.
This bootcamp is a great way to power up your skills and your voice to work in fields like music tech, computer science, coding, artificial intelligence (AI), data science, video game design, cybersecurity, and speech technology; with jobs, internships, and careers aligned to industry certifications.
This program was created by a 25-year STEAM professional who is an alumnus of the Appalachian STEM Teacher Academy at Oak Ridge National Laboratory; a STEAM Teaching Artist with the Tennessee Arts Commission; and Educator of Cisco Networking Academy, Amazon Future Engineer, and Project STEM programs, teaching students of all abilities.
This summer's bootcamp will offer three monthly sessions from June 7th - August 29th, 2025, with a different theme each session and four 3-hour classes each month on Saturdays delivered online via Zoom.
This resource is FREE to students ages 14 to 21 who have an IEP, 504, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, or identifies as neurodivergent or having a special need. All you need is an interest in STEAM/CTE, a computer, and internet access—no prior experience required! Minors will need a signed permission form from a parent or legal guardian to apply.

This is a FREE Pre-ETS (Pre-Employment Transition Services) camp program offered in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Human Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and CHIPS Learning Services, *for qualified students ages 14-22 with IEP, 504 or eligible disability in the State of Tennessee.
The camp will be held Monday-Friday, July 26-30, 2021 and offers morning or afternoon half-day sessions. Spaces are limited and class sizes are kept small to assure quality learning experiences, so SIGN UP NOW!
This 21st century "hybrid" camp covers Pre-ETS, STEAM Careers and CCTE (College, Career and Technical Education). It integrates online teaching with online and onsite learning. It is designed to serve students both virtually and remotely wherever they may be via our CHIPS host site(s).
Students will "learn to earn and be future-ready to intern" by developing their transition portfolio from CHIPS teaching, training, tools and topics covering:

About Pre-ETS
About Pre-ETS
The CHIPS Future-Ready Job Skills Bootcamp is a summer learning enrichment program that is also an extension of our CHIPS Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS).
CHIPS Pre-ETS is offered during the academic school year to students in Hamilton County, Bradley County and other surrounding county schools. Our services are also offered at the Tennessee Rehabilitation Center (TRC) in Smryna, Tennessee.
Pre-ETS is designed to serve students ages 14-22 with disabilities FREE of charge, provided a student has an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or documented disability with a permission form. This service is made possible through a grant by the Department of Tennessee Human Services Vocational Rehabilitation, with whom we partner.
The five areas of training in Pre-ETS are:

After signing up with your email address and other details, we will send you a parent/guardian permission form to complete and return to us, along with the first page of your child's IEP.
We will then forward your information to our local Chattanooga Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) office representative. Once we hear back from them, we will let you know next steps regarding registering your child.
Please know, we will need to have at least four (4) students registered in order to offer the camp.
You may send your information as a scanned email attachment or via regular postal mail to CHIPS Learning Services. Should you wish to fax or postal mail us, please let us know in advance by calling 423.421.5646.
